On 09/09/2000, at approximately 1:00 pm, officers of the Topeka Police Department responded to 1900 Washington Topeka Ks. in regards to a death investigation.

Raymond Aguirre 83 yrs old and his wife were beaten inside their home. Raymond died from his injuries.

November 09, 1993

On 11/09/1993 officers responded to 1200 SE Locust in regards to a deceased individual. A female determined to be Sheleene Vawter was found inside the residence.

84-0701 Homicide- Lavin
February 08, 1984

Sometime between 02/08/84 at 1900 hours to 02/09/84 at 1300 hours and unknown person(s) shot and killed Clarence Lavin at his residence (trailer) at 4230 SE 85th. He was known to his friends/family as Butch. He worked for the Gas Service Co. The M Squad was activated and a large amount of leads were followed up on. The case was reopened years later but, as of today, no one has been identified as the suspect (s).
